Hey guyssssss welcome to my food space where I’m most comfortable!
Today I have a very simple but tasty recipe that I’m bringing to your screens just have an open mind to try it out..INGREDIENTS
Green pepper - 2 pieces
Spring onions
Red bell pepper - 1 piece
Fresh pepper
Fresh tomatoes
2 balls of onions
Curry spice - 1 tea spoon
Seasoning cube (Maggie)
Salt
Soy sauce
Groundnut oil
COOKING PROCEDURE
- First of all what you need to do is wash your pepper, tomatoes, onions etc well remove the seeds inside the bell pepper and green pepper using a knife
- After washing separate the Tomatoes from the pepper and squash it using your hands
- For the sauce in the picture I used a hand blender to blend the pepper together because I wanted it to have this texture which is best for the sauce, blend the green pepper, spring onions, red bell pepper, fresh pepper and the onions together.
- Put a rinsed pot on a low heat cooker because we want the sauce to come out well fried and not burnt so you will need to be patient and use a gas/ stove with low heat.
- Once the pot is dry pour in your oil( 2 serving spoon of oil) or to your liking wait for it to get hot then slice half ball of onions inside the post use a wooden spoon to stir then add the squashed tomatoes, stir for a while.
- Add the blended mix of pepper and stir once
- Add just one table spoon of soy sauce
- Add your curry spice and leave it to fry for 1 minute (do not close the pot)
- Then put in your seasoning powder and salt then stir
- Cover the pot for a while and the sauce is ready!!
Easy right ?? I know
This can be paired with Yam, Potatoes,Rice, Pasta etc. I ate my yummy sauce with fried sweet potatoes and trust me I enjoyed it well.
NOTE:
- You can add any type of protein to the sauce, I didn’t add any in mine because I didn’t want to compromise the taste I wanted it to be pure and fresh.
- If you want it to be less peppery squash more tomatoes and blend less fresh pepper. But for my original Yoruba people lol you can put as much pepper as you like!
ENJOY!!
