Stay warm in this cold weather.

Because I love all my readers I want to wake you up to five fantastic foods you can eat to stay warm.

Oatmeal
There is nothing like a hot bowl of oatmeal on a cold day. This quick and healthy breakfast food staple is a wholegrain powerhouse that packs plenty of nutritional value for your health. Also adding oatmeal to your diet will make you feel and look good. It provides great energy needed for the day’s activities. 


Banana

With a healthy dose of vitamin B, one large banana serves up about 10 per cent of the day’s magnesium. Add it to your breakfast cereal and it will help keep you warm throughout the day.
 Ginger Tea
This magic root is magical during the cold and rainy season as well. If you’re thinking of warming up with a cup of tea, add ginger root to it. Ginger is thought to have thermogenic properties that can keep you warm, and also boost your metabolism. What you need do is to slice off a part and dip into your cup of tea so it can be infused into the tea.

Turmeric
Turmeric, the spice that gives curry powder and mustard its deep yellow colour, is rich in antioxidants .It is seen as one of the best warming herbs because it’s thought to tighten tissues and absorb excess moisture. The heat it helps to give to spicy foods like curries, turmeric milk or turmeric tea is hailed as excellent warming drinks.

Nuts
Nuts are one of the best foods that keep you warm during the winter. Nuts like, cashew nuts, almonds, peanuts, and walnuts are known to increase the warmth in the body within a short duration of consumption. Eating roasted nuts along with a hot beverage can make you feel warm anytime during the day.
